  • 2 chilies (Thai or serrano)
  • 1 1/2 cups Thai basil
  • 1 cup onion (diced)
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp garlic (minced)
  • 2 Tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 Tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add diced onions and chilies, sautéing until onions are translucent (about 2 minutes). Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  2. Increase heat to high and add ground beef. Break into smaller chunks while cooking until browned (4-5 minutes).
  3. Stir in fish sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, and brown sugar; mix well and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes.
