  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 13 ounces turkey sausage, sliced
  • 1 head broccoli florets
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • Cooked white rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by whisking together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
  2. Marinate the shrimp in a zip-top bag with part of the sauce for at least 20 minutes.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté broccoli in olive oil until tender-crisp (about 5 minutes) then set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, brown sausage slices for about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Add marinated shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque (about 1-2 minutes per side). Discard any remaining marinade.
  6. Pour reserved sauce into the skillet and simmer for about 3-5 minutes before adding broccoli back in. Serve over rice.
