  • 3 cups broccoli florets

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ⅓ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (mixed with 2 tbsp water)
  • 2 cups cooked rice or noodles (optional)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, and optional red pepper flakes. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté diced onion for about 2 minutes before adding ground beef. Cook until browned and add garlic for the last 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in broccoli florets and ¼ cup water; cover and steam for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Pour in the honey garlic sauce and let simmer for about 2 minutes. Add cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
  5. Serve over rice or noodles if desired, garnished with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
