  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup whole milk (warmed)
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • Flaky sea salt (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and lightly butter a 9×13 pan.
  2. Melt unsalted butter in a small pot with minced garlic for about 1-2 minutes; set aside to cool.
  3. In a stand mixer bowl, combine flour, parsley, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  4. Add warmed milk, the room-temperature egg, and cooled garlic butter mixture; knead until smooth (10-12 minutes).
  5. Divide dough into 12 equal portions and shape into balls; place in the prepared pan.
  6. Cover and let rise in a warm area until doubled (about 1-2 hours).
  7. Brush tops with beaten egg wash before baking for about 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. For the garlic herb butter topping, melt more butter with minced garlic and stir in parsley; brush over warm rolls.
