  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ tablespoon salt
  • 10 cups water (for baking soda bath)
  • ⅔ cup baking soda
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let sit for about five minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, sugar, and salt to the yeast mixture, then knead until smooth and elastic (5-7 minutes).
  3. Cover with a towel and let rise in a warm place for about an hour until doubled in size.
  4. Punch down the dough, divide into small pieces, and shape into balls.
  5. Boil water in a large pot and stir in baking soda. Dip each pretzel bite in the solution for about 30 seconds before placing on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Brush generously with melted garlic herb butter.
